2500 PSI - 1" Minus Rock
3.5" to 4" thick
When installing a salt finish we always use the integral
coloring system when a color other than natural grey is desired.
The concrete is poured, leveled or trowled smooth, and begins to
cure. Salt is applied to the concrete as it is curing. A roller is
worked over the concrete to imbed the salt into the concrete. The
salt begins to react with the concrete and slowly erodes the
concrete to give it more of a weathered/porous look. The salt sits
overnight and is washed off the following day. This process will
give the concrete a porous look. A sealer is not required on this
finish.
We recommend that the concrete sit for a few days before any
foot traffic be applied. We suggest that no vehicles or heavy
items be placed on the concrete for at least 28 days, after which
the concrete will be fully cured. If 28 days is not feasible to
stay off the concrete, the psi (the density of concrete) can be
increased so that the concrete will cure faster and will be able
to withstand the weight of a heavy item such as a vehicle in less
time.
